I have worked for 25 years as an illustrator/(graphic) designer at the educational department of Rotterdam Zoo till 2014.
My work consisted of making illustrations for lesson-material, theme-panels at the enclosures of our animals, educational exhibitions, the childrens page in our magazine etc. I also made impressions and designs for our educational exhibits and, together with my trainees, almost all the graphic design for our educational deparment.
My private work (when I've got the time...) has a totally different subject. It´s often a kind of "dark ages/megalithic" fantasy. (It was always a challenge to get this somehow into my normal zoo-work.)
I'm also following figure drawing lessons in the evening at the free collage in my hometown.
From june 2020 I am working as a tree-inspector. This is mainly outside work, the always changing surroundings, weather and seasons I am working in tends to be very inspirational!

Jee, bedenk me net dat ik al mijn comments uit gewoonte in het Engels heb geschreven. Hoop dat je blijft posten hier; ik kijk uit naar meer prachtige illustraties!
ik ben helaas enkele jaren geleden, samen met veel collega's ontslagen in Diergaarde Blijdorp,
dus er komt maar weinig tekenwerk bij...
Ongebruikelijk werk maak je trouwens, Aziatisch, maar nou eens niet anime'achtig. Ziet er professioneel uit!
